Ring FAQs

How can i work out my ring size?

If you can’t visit us in person to gauge your ring size we advise being measured by a local jeweller but we know this isn’t always possible (especially if you are planning a surprise!).
If you’re unable to do this please take a look at our size guide to help you, which can be found here. Remember that fingers sizes vary hugely so if you’re ‘borrowing’ a ring to measure make sure its the right one!
We can also send you a plastic ring sizer which is £5 including postage. Please get in touch if you require one.
To reduce the amount of plastic we use we prefer if this is a last resort.

Do you offer a resizing service…..or can we exchange the ring?

All rings purchased online are made to order and therefore non-returnable.
If you are purchasing a ring directly from the boutique that we already have in stock you are welcome to bring it back and exchange it for something different within 28 days of purchase, whether that be size or style.
If the ring has been made to order for you then we cannot exchange or refund but we are able to have it re-sized for a cost of £50. Generally re-size will be a maximum of two sizes smaller or larger to avoid damaging the style of the ring. We may be able to extend beyond this depending on the style of the ring.

Do you offer custom fitted wedding bands?

If you are looking for a wedding band that fits exactly with your engagement ring this is something we can offer from all of our designers.

Do you offer a warranty?

As standard our designers offer a 1 year manufactures warranty across all of our rings. This does not include repairs from accidental damage or wear and tear.
We can also offer a reconditioning service if required.

Where are the rings made?

All our designers rings are hand made and finished in the U.K.
Each brand works slightly different from the next but most are created by the designers themselves in their London studios and finished by Hatton Garden craftspeople.

What materials do you work with?

Each designer and pieces will be different from the next but as a rule they work with recycled gold and platinum and hand select the very best GIA certified diamonds from reputable dealers who adhere to the Kimberley Process preventing conflict diamonds from entering the mainstream market.

What is the best metal for an engagement ring?

Generally our designers will recommend using 18ct gold for engagement and wedding rings due to its durability .
9ct gold  is technically “harder” than  18ct gold but it can be  more  brittle and less resistant to knocks and scratches .
18ct gold  ring will hold up to everyday wear over a long period of time but 9ct gold can be a more affordable alternative.
We know that every customers needs are different and so we offer a selection of both and can generally make any ring to the gold content that is right for you.

What clarity of diamonds do you use?

For white diamond rings our designers generally don’t use a lower quality than SI1 to ensure they are providing you with high quality.
Because we offer non-traditional engagement rings and more unusual designs you might find some styles use diamonds selected specifically for their unique colours and inclusions. We also know that our customers are looking for something different and so you will find rings using a variety of stones including sapphires, tourmaline, aquamarine or lab grown diamonds.

Can I make modifications to the ring or change the diamonds for gemstones?

Yes! Because our selection of rings are handmade our designers are abler to source a variety of gemstones for you or even use stones that you already own.
Because this is a bespoke process it is quotable based on the level of modifications you require.
