Introducing....Zelda Passini

At The Wearer we are constantly on the lookout for new and unique jewellery and we totally fell in love  with Zelda's distinctive tough yet feminine style at a small Shoreditch pop up shortly after she had launched  her eponymous brand in 2014.  Inspired, she told us,  by industrial objects and a post modernist aesthetic. A style that transcends age  and has a timeless appeal that we adore.  We saw  future classics  right away, making  a purchase and a mental note to keep an eye on this emerging brand. Who knew she would be gracing the glass shelves of our boutique  in the future.

We were delighted when Zelda agreed to be part of our roster of  unique independent designers and  customers at our Islington boutique  have been making a  bee line for her distinct designs in store ever since.

Nice born  Zelda Passini grew up in an environment where jewellery took an important role. Her grandfather, a jewellery craftsman taught her about his love of the trade and passed on his passion for the small detail.

Inspired by this passion at an early age, Zelda developed her interest  in Fashion, Art and Design, going on to study Jewellery Design at Central Saint Martins alongside independent designers  such as  Husam el Odeh, Maria Francesca Pepe and the sculptor Tarik Kiswanson.

Gorgeous rose gold cuffs; Arlo from Ruddock £270 and Myla from Edge of Ember £110..Set against our beautiful pink interior

Zelda  combines shapes and lines in order to create small volumes of miniature wearable sculptures. Each of her pieces has a very clean, distinctive design with the intention of highlighting  the style and appearance of the person who wears it. Her  female role models are those in the films of  directors  Brisseau, Lynch, and Verhoeven  who's depictions of women are always complimentary ; fearless and graceful in their own unique way.

Find the edited range of Zelda Passini designs in our Islington boutique and  on-line very soon!
